“4Real” rejected as baby name, so parents choose “Superman” instead
Filed under: Newborn, Infant / First year
Awhile back, I wrote about Pat and Sheena Wheaton, who were fighting with the government in New Zealand for the right to name their baby 4Real (they chose the name after realizing their baby was..."for real"). Unfortunately for the couple (or maybe fortunately for their son), they lost that fight -- not because the name was too ridiculous, but because names in New Zealand must be a sequence of letters.
Their solution? Pat and Sheena have decided they'll name their son Superman instead.
However, Superman's parents, while recognizing his legal name, still plan to call him 4Real -- just as they'd always intended.
I mean, seriously. 4Real? Uve got2b joking. WTF?
